Meet Lindsay Borgeson, Chief Deposit Officer
Core Bank is proud to celebrate Women’s History Month and feature Women in Leadership at Core Bank throughout the month. Lindsay Borgeson is Chief Deposit Officer at Core Bank where she fuels ongoing deposit growth and works collaboratively with other areas of the bank such as the banking centers, virtual center, and treasury to help the team deliver the best banking experience. She has worked at Core Bank for over 11 years in various roles in the retail department.
What made you decide to pursue a career in leadership?
This was never a conscious decision, but rather something that evolved naturally through saying yes to stretch projects and a passion for seeing others succeed while knowing in small part, I may have assisted them along the way.
Who are some of your female role models? My mother, Pam, is a tenacious and fearless leader with amazing coaching ability and an endless drive to succeed.
What do you think are the most important qualities of a successful leader? Empathy, emotional IQ, empowering others, action-oriented, gratitude, open-mindedness, and a servant mentality.
What do you think organizations can do to support and encourage more women to take on leadership roles? Diversity of thought is key to a successful organization. Build a safe space for all to speak up, share ideas, build trust, and have productive conflict.
What advice would you give to the next generation of female leaders? Take your seat at the table! Don’t let imposter syndrome hold you back, you bring value!
