Core Bank is kicking off our third annual Diaper Drive for the Nebraska Diaper Bank!
The Nebraska Diaper Bank supplies diapers for families in need with children newborn to three across the state. There are no other safety net programs like SNAP, Medicaid and WIC to cover diapers. Diaper costs can represent up to 14% of a family’s budget. A diaper is a basic health need as essential to a baby’s health and well-being as shelter and clothing. Not only does a diaper keep the baby healthier, happier and help them sleep, it also reduces stress of the family unit. The mental health of a parent and child are surprisingly dependent on a steady supply of diapers. Diaper need has profound effects, that can last generations.
Core Bank staff and customers will work together to raise diapers from November 1st – 27th. On Giving Tuesday, November 28th we’ll be taking all the donated diapers to the Nebraska Diaper Bank. Last year we reached 26,677 diapers and this year we have a goal of collecting 35,000 diapers! Any monetary donations will be turned into the following diaper quantities:
$25 = 150 diapers
$50 = 300 diapers
$100 = 600 diapers
$250 = 1,500 diapers
$500 = 3,000 diapers
We’ll also be accepting donations of packaged diapers at each of our Core Bank locations during this time. 75% of the diapers needed are sizes 4,5, and 6. Currently, size 6 diapers are in critical need with supply chain issues. You can change your dollars into diapers here: https://nebraskadiaperbank-bloom.kindful.com/?campaign=1269253
The Core Bank location in Kansas City will be collecting diapers to benefit HappyBottoms.
Thank you in advance for your support and giving!
