Centennial Bank + Omaha State Bank = Core Bank

May 29, 2013 | Core Bank

In February, Centennial Bank and Omaha State Bank announced their intent to merge. Our two banks have much in common, including shared majority ownership. We have a convenient blend of geographic locations throughout the Omaha, Ashland, and Bellevue communities. We also have complementary products and services. But more importantly, we have great people, who share a common commitment to serving our customers and being an outstanding community bank.
Our teams have been hard at work, planning for the merger, diligently ensuring that every detail is considered. We want to take the very best of practices from each organization, to create one remarkable new bank.
Since our original announcement, the first question on nearly everyone’s lips was “what will the name of the bank be?”  Much thought was given to our two existing names, and also to the option of adopting an entirely new name.
We are very pleased to announce that our new name will be:

The name Core Bank speaks to strength and substance. Strength of character and integrity, and sound banking principles. And substance, or the heart and soul of our company.
We are currently waiting for final regulatory approval to complete our merger. Within the next 30-60 days we expect this process to be finalized. And, by late July you should expect to see new Core Bank signs go up on our branch locations.
