CORE BANK PLUNGES FOR SPECIAL OLYMPICS NEBRASKA

Mar 1, 2016 | Community, Core Bank

For the third straight year, a team of 38 Core Bank employees, family, and friends dove into the ice-cold waters (in zero degree temperatures!) at Lake Cunningham, raising over $13,000 for Special Olympics athletes and programs.
The Omaha Polar Plunge event started over 10 years ago and has continued each year as a fun event that challenges participants to show support for Special Olympics Nebraska by plunging into a lake – in the dead of winter. Those brave enough to run into the icy waters are encouraged to form teams, dress in costume and raise money by collecting pledges from family and friends.
This year, Core Bank’s team came in Second Place for the most funds raised, and won Most Original Team Theme – Where’s Waldo! In total, the Omaha Polar Plunge event raised over $110,000 for Special Olympics Nebraska.
Way to go, Omaha! #BeBoldGetCold
