Kansas City golf club

Falcon Lakes Golf Club is a Jay Morrish design that opened in July 2002 with the vision of being one of the top public courses in the Kansas City metropolitan area. Marty Streiff purchased the golf course in March of 2009 and has since turned the vision into reality. Marty’s 44 years of experience in management and the golf course industry is guiding him and his staff in delivering a superior experience. He is accompanied by his partner, Chuck Burton, who has an extensive background in business, which some will say is what led him to the course.

Following the ownership change in 2009 Falcon Lakes Golf Club has continued making improvements to course and clubhouse year after year. The well-manicured zoysia fairways and bent grass greens have jolted the public golf course to one of the best in the city. Most recently Falcon Lakes put an emphasis on the practice facility and clubhouse. The driving range gained a new synthetic tee line, real size golf course targets, and are in the process of completing a building structure that will hold all driving range accessories.

In the months of March through October from 2009 to 2018, the clubhouse operated as a snack bar. Then in 2019, Falcon Lakes opened The Falcon’s Nest Bar and Grill by remodeling the lower level of the two-story clubhouse and hiring a professional food and beverage staff. In conjunction with the remodel of the lower level to add the full-service restaurant, Falcon Lakes expanded the structure with an extended covered patio to the upper level and shaded seating below, catering not only to golfers but the residents in the community and the general public. The top level of the clubhouse offers great amenities for hosting events, weddings, and tournaments. As the residential housing development surrounding the course continues to boom the foot traffic steadily progresses, making Falcon Lakes a sought-after entertainment destination.

Marty and Chuck have surrounded themselves with a great team - John Snapp, Director of Golf, Mike Langstraat, PGA Head Golf Professional, Colby Yates, Assistant Golf Professional, Mitch Bradbury, Golf Course Superintendent, and all other staff who play a major role in the success of Falcon Lakes. Where golf courses are a dime a dozen, Core Bank is proud to have the opportunity to partner with an exceptional organization that shares common standards and holds customer experience as the top priority.
