Core Bank proudly recognizes Harrison’s Playmakers as a recipient of a $5,000 Core Bank Community Impact Award. This award celebrates organizations that create meaningful change and strengthen the communities they serve.
Harrison Phillips founded Harrison’s Playmakers in 2018. Since then, the nonprofit has helped children and young adults with disabilities build confidence, develop friendships, and discover new opportunities through sports and mentorship programs.
Today, Harrison’s Playmakers serves families in Omaha, Buffalo, Minneapolis, and New Jersey. The organization hosts camps, activities, and community events throughout the year. As a result, participants gain valuable experiences while connecting with peers in an inclusive environment.
The nonprofit believes every child deserves the chance to participate and succeed. Therefore, its programs focus on making activities accessible for all abilities. Participants can challenge themselves, learn new skills, and celebrate achievements alongside friends and volunteers.
In addition, Harrison’s Playmakers encourages participants to give back. Through volunteer opportunities and community partnerships, young people learn the value of service, kindness, and leadership. These experiences help create a lasting impact both inside and outside of the organization’s programs.
The Core Bank Community Impact Award reflects the organization’s commitment to inclusion, mentorship, and community engagement. More importantly, it highlights the positive difference Harrison’s Playmakers continues to make in the lives of children and families.
