Holiday Joy: Sharing Gifts, Spreading Love

This holiday season, Core Bank team members are lighting up lives and bringing smiles to families in need through our annual Core Bank Christmas Families Gift Drive.

Our team of shopping elves came together to organize this heartfelt initiative, volunteering their time to ensure that families facing tough circumstances experience the magic of the season. Many of the families we’ve supported in past years have faced challenges such as job loss, health issues, or fleeing domestic violence. For others, the struggle lies in providing even the essentials, leaving little for holiday gifts. Elderly individuals, often without family support, face similar hardships.

Through the generosity of our employees, we’ve been able to turn these challenges into moments of joy. Core Bank staff have donated money and purchased items from wish lists, ensuring that nearly every wish is fulfilled each year.

This year, we adopted four families from local schools and six elderly individuals from the Eastern Nebraska Office on Aging. After gathering the gifts, the festive spirit continued with a lively wrapping party filled with holiday music and cheer as employees carefully prepared each package.

The joy doesn’t stop there. A dedicated team of Core Bank employees delivered the beautifully wrapped gifts to schools and counselors, ensuring every family receives their surprises in time for the holidays.

We’re proud to support our community and bring hope to those in need. Together, we’re creating holiday memories that will last a lifetime!

And they put so much thought and care into the gifts that are donated to this cause. Our people shop for these gifts as if they are shopping for their own family members. It’s always an inspiring time of year, experiencing the generosity and thoughtfulness of our people,” said Lindsey Wedel, Chief People Officer.

For over 25 years, Core Bank has experienced the joy of giving by providing Christmas gifts for over 100 families and over 120 elderly individuals.
