Lawson Cryogenic Manufacturing and Repair, established in January 2016, has operated as a repair facility in Baytown, Texas, since its inception. Owned by Pam Spaccarotella, who also owns LGT Transport, the company quickly became a leading cryogenic repair facility in the Gulf Coast region under Operations Manager Mike Long. The expertise and certifications from its repair operations allowed for the expansion into manufacturing.

As a leader in cryogenic and industrial gas equipment repair, Lawson broke ground on a new manufacturing facility in Gretna, Nebraska, on October 24th. The new plant will focus on producing cryogenic transport trailers designed and vacuum-jacketed to safely transport industrial gases such as nitrogen, oxygen, and argon. This expansion aims to provide a reliable source for cryogenic trailers while tapping into new markets and product opportunities. Prioritizing safety, reliability, and efficiency, Lawson Cryogenic is dedicated to delivering dependable, high-quality trailers.

“We are excited to build our new manufacturing facility in Gretna and contribute to its growing diverse economic development,” said Pam Spaccarotella. “Our goal is to not only build the highest quality cryogenic trailers on the market, but also create long-term relationships with our customers and community. Our new facility shows our continuing commitment and investment in the industrial gas sector.”

Financing was made possible from support of Core Bank, USDA Rural Development Business and Industry (B&I) program, Nebraska Enterprise Fund and the Nebraska Department of Economic Development. The USDA B&I program is a rural program available to companies that create jobs in communities with 50,000 residents or less. The Nebraska Enterprise Fund utilized the SSBCI: State Small Business Credit Initiative program. The Nebraska Department of Economic Development utilized the ImagiNE Nebraska tax incentive program for job creation.

Lawson Cryogenic will create 35 new jobs in the Gretna area and will also partner with local trade schools to recruit new employees.

The 5,530-square-foot office building and 36,834-square-foot manufacturing facility will be located at 15130 S. 205th Ave. in Gretna, NE and is estimated to be completed by August 2025.
