Core Bank KC Holiday Donation Drive to Support Newhouse

Core Bank in Kansas City is hosting a holiday gift donation drive from November 20-December 4th to support the children and families served at Newhouse Shelter. Toys, beauty items, art supplies and comfort items such as slippers, robes, and blankets are appreciated. Your holiday gifts donation will provide Newhouse families a safe and special holiday season.

National Hunger and Homeless Awareness Week

Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week is an annual program where people come together across the country to draw attention to the problems of hunger and homelessness. During this week, participants can immerse themselves in a series of educational, service, fundraising, and advocacy events.

Fourth Annual Core Bank Diaper Drive

Core Bank is kicking off our fourth annual Diaper Drive for Nebraska Diaper Bank! Nebraska Diaper Bank supplies diapers for families in need with children ages newborn to three across the state. 4500 children are served monthly by Nebraska Diaper Bank and 10,784 unduplicated children were served in 2023.

Core Bank Cares Scholarship Recipients

It’s hard to believe another school year will be starting in just a month. Supporting education is important to Core Bank. For the 2023 – 2024 school year, our Core Bank Cares Scholarship program allowed Core Bank to award $14,000 in scholarships to local high school seniors. The scholarship recipients should be immensely proud of the hard work that has led them to their accomplishments!

Community Impact Award: Newhouse in Kansas City

Newhouse in Kansas City was awarded the Core Bank Community Impact Award for the first quarter of 2024 with a gift of $4,000 to support their Childrens Programming including play therapy tools, off-site enrichment activities, updated classroom technology items, and funds to assist specifically with a seasonal camp. In 2022, Newhouse served over 120 children totaling over 12,000 hours of educational support and childcare.

Polar Plunge 2024: Be Bold Get Cold with the Nebraska Special Olympics

Core Bank employees, friends, and family were “chilled” as they gathered on Saturday, February 10th, at Lake Zorinsky to partake in another year of the Special Olympics Nebraska’s Polar Plunge. There were over 892 plungers with all teams combined and over 50 on the Core Bank team. The water was frigid, but everyone’s excitement and adrenaline kept people running toward the goal of reaching the buoy mannequin into the cold waters and back to land.
