Why We’re “Going Casual” This Holiday Season

Nov 19, 2012 | Personal

Undoubtedly, you and yours have holiday traditions, and we at Core Bank are no different.
Fridays in late November and throughout December you’ll have the opportunity to see our tradition up close. If you happen to drop by one of our branches and see our team unusually “dressed down” in denim, know that we’ve gone “Casual for a Cause.”
In exchange for the chance to “go casual” on these designated days, our employees donate to a worthy nonprofit or charitable group selected from the list suggested by our own employees.
The bank also matches employee contributions.
We’ve been doing this since 2007, supporting organizations like Omaha Open Door Mission, The Salvation Army, Ashland Senior Center and the Food Bank for the Heartland.
This year, donations will go to Nebraska’s largest shelter, Siena/Francis House, and the Ashland Ministerial Association, which helps individuals and families with basic needs – ranging from prepping food baskets to helping with heating bills.
As the saying goes, ‘the real gift goes to the giver”, and it’s a joy every year for our team to give generously to these important causes.
Happy Holidays!
