SUPER WOMEN IN BUSINESS
For my Super Women in Business blog series, I ask all the women business owners I’ve had the pleasure of assisting in their journey to entrepreneurship, “What’s your superpower?” In the two years I’ve been writing this blog series, no one has ever responded with any comic book superpower. “Experienced”, “insightful”, “attentive” and “passionate” are what I’ve heard to describe what these amazing women consider their superpowers used to symbolically save the world for their clients.
The response of this Super Women in Business honoree was no different in spirit.
ANGELA LEAKEY AND AML INSURANCE
I’d like to introduce Angela Leakey, owner of AML Insurance. Angela worked as a captive agent representing only one company at a time. After realizing she wasn’t always able to get the best coverage at the best price, Angela decided to start her own independent insurance agency. With almost 20 years of experience and now representing over 15 companies, Angela feels she’s able to provide the insurance products that truly protect her individual and business clients.
When I met Angela, I listened to how determined and excited she was to start her own company.
For Angela, it’s not about just completing a business transaction. It’s about taking the time to educate clients about insurance needs and best options. It’s about helping her clients have peace of mind surrounding some of life’s most challenging situations. And it’s about providing compassion and immediate service in the event of a situation. That’s why it made sense when Angela replied that “caring” was what she considered her superpower. And, in today’s world, that seems like a pretty good power to have.
Congratulations, Angela! We’re extremely honored to partner with you in your new business and to recognize you as a Super Woman in Business!
