The Accountant is a member of the bank’s Finance Department, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, and will work as a part of this team to perform accounting tasks as well as achieve the overall goals of the department. The Accountant is responsible for various general accounting functions including fixed assets, prepaid expenses, general ledger reconciliations and month end bank account reconciliations. In addition, this position assists with month-end financial reporting and analysis, budget, external exams (FDIC, Nebraska Department of Banking, etc.), external audits, business intelligence report writing, call report preparation, and special projects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thorough, analytical, collaborative, and flexible, possesses a strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and multiple accounting software programs, and has strong communication skills.
