Matt Brown was recently promoted to the Senior Vice President, Construction Lending Manager at Core Bank. Matt has over 20 years of banking experience and has played a significant role in the growth of the real estate division since 2017 and has a strong knowledge of all types of lending in the Omaha market.

Matt holds a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management, Finance, and Entrepreneurship from Graceland University. He began working in the finance industry when he was a Personal Banker as one of his first jobs out of college. He enjoys building relationships with clients and gravitated to the lending side. Real estate lending felt like a natural fit for him. Matt shared, “I had the opportunity to keep learning the real estate world under some good lenders over the years that continually kept challenging me to grow in the real estate industry.”

Matt likes working at Core Bank because of the best mix of people, products and support from Senior Management to really deliver to clients. What initially attracted him to Core Bank is its Recipe for Awesome. He has a lot of the same values and tries to deliver the same mentality to clients. As guidance for customers, Matt said, “We have the ability to facilitate all types of banking products while being locally owned and operated. We are constantly looking for ways to elevate our client experience and have some of the best banking experts in the markets we serve.  We are consistently passionate about doing what is best for them and their success is our top priority.”

“Matt is a proven leader in his field, and we look forward to his continued success at Core Bank” said David Hartman, SVP Director Real Estate Division.

Outside of Core Bank, Matt serves on the Board of Directors for Omaha 100. He also golfs and has had a hole-in-one and plans for many more to come. Matt grew up in an Air Force family and moved around when he was young until they settled in the Omaha area where he still currently lives with his family. His two children keep everyone active with sports and they enjoy family vacations. As his favorite quote says, “Don’t give up, don’t ever give up” – James Valvano “Jimmy V,” former North Carolina State basketball coach.
