Core Bank Cares: We Give Where We Live

Apr 5, 2018 | Community, Core Bank, Kansas City, Omaha

April is Community Banking Month and a perfect time to showcase one of the many reasons to bank local: the deep roots we have in our community. To continue empowering our employees to support our friends and neighbors, we started a giving program called Core Bank Cares: We Give Where We Live.
Core Bank gives each employee a stipend to use for charitable giving throughout the year. The employee is able to choose how and where their dollars are used to support those in alignment with our three categories for giving: Bright Futures, Resilient Families and Community & Economic Development.
Bright Futures:
We support programs whose goals are to create and provide opportunities for early childhood and K-12 youth to help them get the most out of their education, as well as promote their well-being to help children from all backgrounds to reach their full potential.
Resilient Families:
Strong and resilient families are central to our community’s well-being. We support programs and non-profits who focus on helping families find a work life balance, rebuild in the wake of disasters, and who focus on families’ economic welfare.
Community & Economic Development:
We are only as strong as our community. Core Bank supports programs, non-profits, events, activities and initiatives that contribute to our communities and their economic development.
With endless ways to give, our employees’ creativity in the use of their funds is just as grand as their thoughtful hearts! Already this year, employees have donated to numerous non-profit organizations and families. Stay tuned as we share examples throughout the year of this meaningful and fun way to give. As part of our mission states, “We are a community. First and foremost. Of friends and neighbors. And partners in making life just a little bit better. Core Bank. You at the core.”
