The Holiday Season is upon us. The city is full of glowing lights from buildings outlined like packages, to houses aglow with lights and inflatables. The weather is finally cooperating with the time of the year, and we might see our first snowfall soon. I love this time of the year!  I often sit quietly at night with just the lights of our tree and decorations when everyone has gone to bed and reflect on all that 2017 has offered and look forward to the year ahead.
It seems that December is the month to reflect on the many blessings of the year. But it’s also a great time to make a difference in the lives of others. Core Bank has chosen to adopt families in Omaha and to donate to Operation Breakthrough in Kansas City.

Operation Breakthrough

The mission of Operation Breakthrough is to provide a safe, loving and educational environment for children in poverty. They also empower families through advocacy, emergency aid and education. We’re excited to help 17 kids between four and five years old with classroom supplies. It will be a gift that keeps on giving to the kids through 2018.
I’m overwhelmed with the enormous hearts and generosity of my coworkers. We can’t wait to deliver these gifts to the Orange 5 classroom at Operation Breakthrough.

As you take time in December to count your many blessings, please consider this… There’s no better way to get into the spirit of the season than helping others and making a difference!
